Video Marketing Steps for Video Distribution

Now the exciting part of video marketing begins with the uploading of your videos.

Once you are satisfied with your video, and you are ready to upload or use it you have a few options.

1. Upload it yourself to YouTube and other video hosting sites

2. Use a video distribution tool to upload and track the traffic for your video

3. Embed it on your website

4. Embed it inside a "video email" for email marketing

Per #1, there are now about 30 separate sites that offer video hosting.

The fact remains that Google/YouTube is the defacto standard in the market registering more than 4.3 BILLION videos of the over 11M viewed online as of March 2008 (per the ComScore Video Index).

Also, 52% of all web traffic is video (source: eMarketer Dec 2007) and there are almost 200 Million viewers of online video. The Summer Olympics was a huge impact on the number of people watching online videos.

It is important to point out that the Search Engines currently give preferential treatment to videos in terms of rankings, which means that video listings will show up faster in all the Search Engines than text content...in some cases minutes. YouTube now is offering PayPerClick which offers you the opportunity to invest in ads with your video if you want to take advantage of that.

I highly recommend that you create a video AND a written Article from it and distribute both. This will give you greater reach leveraging multiple media distribution channels. If you also want to create Podcast from your video and individual landing pages that will exponentially broaden your distribution.

There are different tools out there.

One is what I'm using which is SiteBuildit!. SiteBuildit! teaches you how to build a monetized website from start to finish, including more than just video.

Another is a product called Traffic Geyser that automates all the media creation and media distribution processes. I have used his recommendations in my content here. Mike has several videos that are worth watching to understand how to drive massive distribution with video using his system.

If you are not ready to invest the money in an "all in one" automated system like his there are books and some free tools that give you a basic overview, especially on YouTube.

Lynn Terry's blog, ClickNewz.com can help speed up the process for you. with some additional information to mine.

Let me know how this works for you!

Happy Video Marketing!!
