Video Marketing "Lollipop" Tips
There is a lot of video marketing information on the web from many sources on how to create video content. One of the main things to keep in mind, is that unless you are already well known, you should keep your intro videos short (5-6 mins). Most viewers can sit still that long so you shouldn't see a high number of people leaving unless the video is not what they were looking for OR your presentation was not engaging enough (show excitement about your topic). For me, I found the simplest and most efficient way to start a video marketing project is with a written outline. So, let's say you want to create a video of yourself or maybe an interview with an "expert" in your chosen market. Step 1: Make some notes. What are the stated Objectives for your Video Marketing Project? 1. To build a relationship with my viewer that positions me as an expert in my chosen market. 2. Drive traffic to my site in order to build my reputation as a provider of quality content in my stated market 3 Create a qualified buyer of my products and services What is my Topic?: NOTE: this should be a surveyed topic; an answer to a question or a problem that per survey is a "top ten" question. Points to cover in your video: i.e. Answer these questions! 1. Why am I doing the video? 2. What are the benefits for the viewer? 3. What will it do for the viewer (the result)? 4. What will this accomplish? 5. How can the viewer use this information? i.e. next step Here is a SAMPLE Outline: Topic: Choosing the right Lollipop: A Lollipop Lover's Taste Test 1. I am doing this video because many people have asked me what is the best lollipop on the market for them. 2. I will review and taste test all the major lollipop brands and show you what they are, what flavors are available and how they are made, including the calorie count for all you "dieters' out there. This will help you make the best decision for your own tastes and needs. 3. The result will be that you can feel comfortable choosing the best lollipop on the market to meet your needs without having to spend money and time tasting all the ones available...although it was fun doing that! 4. I hope this will make sure that you always have the best lollipop taste experience! 5. Once you know which lollipop is best for you, I will send you to a web page where you can buy a whole box at a great discount, so you don't have to spend time trying to find the store that sells them. NOTE: this is where you tell the viewer what you want them to do next: go to your site, buy an ebook on "Lollipops", download a Free Podcast on "Lollipops", buy an inexpensive "lolliop" product or service to get started, etc. Now, create a short script for your video, and practice running through it until you are comfortable with what you are going to say. Gather your "lollipops" and start shooting! Remember, you can also use this video for a Video Email program (about video email later) Next step is to Go to How to Distribute Your Video:
